9 Side Hustles that You Should Go Through while Setting Up Your Blog for Success

Are you a newbie blogger who is struggling to make up the upfront investments for starting a blog?

Or, are you blogging for a few months but still struggling to reach even the break-even?

If one of above is your case, then this post is for you.

In this post, I am going to share 9 side hustle ideas that you should work on right from today.

Working on even one of those side hustle ideas can make your financial life easier.

So, without any further ado, let’s get started:

What are Side Hustles:

Side hustles are basically the side projects one should work on to support his main project financially.

However, side hustles generally do not include working in a full-time job.

Instead, they basically include working some freelance projects in your free time to recover the cost for your main project.

And these side-hustles are very much important for a blogger to keep his/her blog on right track.

For example, if you are a travel blogger, you can take Local Tourists Guide as one of your side hustle projects and if done right, if can make some decent amount of money from it.

For most of the bloggers, this kind of side hustle money gives enough motivation and financial support for keep his/her blog running.

That being said, let’s dig a little deeper into the matter.

Why Do You Need to be a Side Hustler:

There are lots of posts all over the internet that claims you can start a blog for free.

However, the truth cannot be far from that, especially if you want to start a professional blog (i.e. a money making blog) in 2018.

If you are into professional blogging for a few months, I am sure you have already experienced the startup and maintenance cost of a professional blog even before it earns anything for you.

But if you are not already aware of the same, let me tell you the average starting cost of a basic blog is $867 followed by a maintenance cost of $21 per month (i.e. a whooping $252 per year).

And if you really want to start a professional blog, the average upfront cost will be $4,221 followed by a maintenance cost of $51 per month (i.e. a whooping $612 per year).

For most of us, it is a bit difficult to invest that much money (upfront + monthly) from our own savings.

So, we MUST start making money on side to keep our blog running (and making money for us).

And the side-hustle projects just do the same plus much more.

Below are a few reasons that will encourage you to work on side-hustles while making your own blog for success.

  • Money – Side-hustles can give you a decent financial backup.
  • Clients – They will give you some long-lasting and regularly paying clients.
  • Confidence – These projects will boost your confidence to do things right.

and much more.

I am sure you are smart enough to sense the importance of being a side-hustler in your blogging career.

Now, let me share a few side-hustles ideas with you to get started with.

9 Side Hustle Ideas for Newbie Bloggers:

Check out the 9 of my favorite side-hustle ideas you can try while setting up your blog.

  1. Content Writing:Writing

This one is probably the best side hustle idea I can probably share with you today.

Because if done right, it will be beneficial for you in multiple ways.

And since, you have chosen to be a professional blogger, it is safe to assume that you are passionate about writing.

Right?

There are lots sites which compensate content writers with huge paychecks.

In addition to that, you can get multiple writing gigs and projects from freelancing sites.

And while making money from your writing, you will also be able to create your own brand as a writer, which is really important.

I’ll be publishing more detailed guide about the same here shortly.

Now, let’s move to the next idea.

2. CPA Marketing:Marketing

Although content writing is a great side hustle for the newbie bloggers, however, it takes time.

Unless you can manage your time really well, you cannot make huge by writing contents for others.

Because, you will also be responsible for producing great articles for your own blog consistently.

Hope you got my point.

If this sounds familiar to you, then the CPA Marketing might be your preferred way of side hustling.

In that case, you just need to find and promote a few good CPA Programs.

And trust me, you can start making money almost immediately if you can do it right.

Also, it doesn’t take more than 2-3 hours a day to make a few hundred dollars per month using this method.

If you want to start making money in this method, you can Download My FREE Report to Make $100-$300/Day Online without Selling Anything.

Now, let’s checkout the next idea.

3. Blog Setup Services:Blog Setup

Did you set up your blog by yourself?

Good news!

You can monetize your blog setup skill.

And that is a reliable side hustle option for the newbie bloggers.

However, if you do not know how to monetize your blog setup skill, I’ve simplified it for you.

You can monetize your blog setup skill in 2 ways:

Either by directly charging the clients for your service or, by giving your blog setup service to your clients for free while still making money from affiliate marketing.

Needless to mention, you can also create an additional stream recurring income per month by providing blog maintenance services to your clients.

That being said, let’s learn about another side-hustle idea.

4. Part-Time Web Designing:Web Design

Did you know, your blog is a special kind of website?

If you blog on Self-Hosted WordPress and if you have settled up it of your own, then chances are high, that you can also design a few websites for clients.

Of course, to become a professional web designer, you must learn a few special web design skills.

However, if you know the basics, you can start making money by designing stunning websites for your clients.

And with more and more practice, eventually you will become a better web designer of high demand.

Well, let me share the next side-hustle idea.

5. E-Book Publishing:ebook

Another great side-hustle idea.

Since, you are a blogger, you are a killer combo of a niche expert as well as a good writer.

So why not publish and sell your own e-book(s)?

Trust me, like CPA Marketing, you can start making money with this method almost from the Day-1.

Remember, each sell counts.

Still not convinced?

Well. Let me show you the math.

If you sell your e-books for as low as $10 per copy and can make only 10 sales a day, you will be making well $10 x 10 = $100 per day i.e. $10 x 30 = $300 per month or, $300 x 12 = $3,600 per year.

That too from an one-time single effort of writing the book from the comfort of your home without investing anything extra for publishing, printing, inventory management, etc.

I know the figures are NOT so attractive – but not so bad for newbies either.

However, for any reason, if you cannot write a complete book right now, you can still make money with similar products.

Check out the next idea.

6. Selling E-Goodies:egoodies

If you cannot publish your own e-book right now, you can still do some side hustles by selling your own e-goodies.

Did you ever think of that way?

No matter what, let me show you how to earn some decent amount by selling a few e-goodies.

E-Goodies are basically, some booklets, reports, planners, etc.

For example, you can easily create a beautiful looking Blog Post Planner and sell it to your customers.

Or, you can make and sell a categorized list of sites who accepts guest posts.

I have seen a lot of professional bloggers are making a decent income every month by selling those e-goodies to their audiences.

However, if you do not prefer product creation, check out the next idea.

7. Paid Internships:Paid Internship

Paid internships can be great side hustles.

Paid internships can give you real-life industry knowledge, money and valid working experience.

If you want to grow your career in Digital Marketing field, paid internships can be very helpful.

Nowadays, lots of companies like Internshala are giving excellent paid internship opportunities to the newbies.

You can simply perform a Google Search to find out lots of paid internship opportunities that will help you to support your main blog from multiple aspects.

Okay. Now it is time for the next idea.

8. Multimedia Content Creation Service:Multimedia

If you are a digital designer i.e. a D.T.P. Expert or, an Animation Master or, an Experienced Video Mixer, you can easily offer your Multimedia Content Creation Service to your clients.

Trust me, the market demand for multimedia experts are increasing everyday, globally.

If done right, it can give you huge money that will be more than sufficient to recover your upfront cost as well as the maintenance cost for the blog.

However, you are still stuck with this side hustle idea, you can find lots of useful information about the same over internet.

That being said, let’s move toward the next big idea.

9. Explore Other MMO Opportunities:Make Money Online

If none of the above mentioned side hustle ideas attracts you, you can look for other Make Money Online (MMO) opportunities.

In that case, you may prefer:

  • Paid to Click (PTC) Works

A couple of questions, if you don’t mind Is it better to comment with a Google account or a WordPress account? Is it better to comment directly on the blog or on the Google+ link? What do you prefer as the author? Which facilitates a better conversation? Thanks for the encouragement!
