Followed properly, it should not take you more than 120 minutes to find at least 3 good niches for starting your blogging journey in 2018.
So, let’s get started.
Step-1: Write Down Your Passion and Interests:
In this step, all you need to make a Master List of all the topics that you are passionate and interested about.
Do not limit yourself.
Open your mind on a piece of paper.
In this step, your target is to write down all such topics which you are passionate enough about within 10-15 minutes.
I think you would be able come up with at least 10 to 20 topics easily at this brainstorming session.
For example, if I were to start a blog today, I would be interested in the following topics:
- Self-Development
- Fitness
- Professional Grooming
- Entrepreneurship
- Etiquette, etc.
In this step, you do not have to think much.
Just write down all the ideas or topics which come in your mind within the first 10 to 15 minutes of your brainstorming session.
Step-2: Filter Your Master List Out With Profitability:
This is the step which separates Professional Bloggers from the Amateur Ones.
Professional Bloggers often earn their living by monetizing their passion whereas the Amateur Bloggers generally blog just for their passion.
If you want to be an Amateur Blogger, you can skip this step and go to the Step-3 directly.
However, if you are looking to make a handsome amount of money and ready to treat your blog as one of your most profitable businesses, you must cover this step very carefully.
In this step, you should filter your Master List of Best Niches for Blogging in accordance with their profitability (i.e. their money-making potential).
There are hundreds (if not thousands) of ways out to determine the money-making potential of a topic for blogging.
However, to keep things simple, I shall be discussing only best 3 of them here.

The most beginner friendly method to earn a few bucks from your blog is advertisement.
It means that you should determine the Advertisement Potential of each and every topic from your Master List, one-by-one.

Check if you can publish a few E-Books, Video Courses and Serve A few Clients with the topics of your Master List.

Step-3: Sort Out Your List As Per Resource Availability:

Now in this final step, you should check the resource availability for your topic of blogging.
No matter, how good you are at your subject, you still should do some research work to provide your audience the best of the best information.
